ii. The reduction of the Capital Conservation Buffer (CCB) for banks from 3 per cent to 1.5 per cent to provide the needed financial support to the economy;

793 people died from covid 19 in Italy yesterday

Italy announced its largest single-day coronavirus death toll, the second time in two days it’s reached a new high water mark.

Officials announced that 793 more people died from the coronavirus Saturday. The previous largest death toll from a single day was 627, which occurred Friday.

Many experts are saying the US is on the same trajectory as Italy, but two weeks behind it. The Italian government is facing withering criticism for not taking the pandemic seriously enough, much like the Trump Administration’s reluctant, tardy response.

The Italian government has been hammered for what critics say has been a slow response to the virus. The country is now on a complete lockdown, enforced by the military, and residents need to get written permission from the government to leave their homes.
